The detective finds a cable car that she uses to reach a cabin located a few distances from the Manor. This gives the detective the clue that is needed to open the right door. The detective finds a key that she uses to solve a puzzle in the elevator, allowing her to reach a previously inaccessible floor housing a laboratory. Charles instructs Victor to escape, who does so using a time machine. Charles calls forth Victor to deal with the detective, but she is able to destroy the machine. Because the detective had freed them, the machine is rendered powerless. It turns out the green tubes are connected to the machine and that Rose and the twins' souls are used to power it. Charles is infuriated with the detective for stealing his first love but suddenly discovers that his strength isn't returning. After finding it, the detective finds Charles inside it.
